Power Generation Procurement

Your power procurement team. Without building one.

Oculus manages the full procurement lifecycle for aeroderivative gas turbine packages. From scoping through commissioning and site delivery, we operate as your dedicated power procurement function, so your team stays focused on building and operating data centers. We do the procurement. You get the megawatts.

What You Get

A single counterparty, a fixed proposal, and commissioned generation hardware on your site.

The secondary market for aeroderivative gas turbines is fragmented, opaque, and full of intermediaries who make introductions but don't manage outcomes. Oculus exists to be the counterparty that owns the procurement process end to end, so you get turbines on site, not promises in your inbox.

  • Process Ownership
We don't make introductions and collect a fee. We manage sourcing, refurbishment oversight, commissioning, logistics, and delivery as a single accountable counterparty.
  • Institutional Transaction Structure
Escrow-protected milestone payments with proof of funds on request. Insurance-backed warranty on every delivered unit. Guaranteed delivery schedules with contractual LD protection.
  • Full Availability Spectrum
New OEM units where lead times allow. Low-hour engines in operational condition ready for immediate deployment. Cores available for zero-hour refurbishment. We source across the entire market.
  • Bridge-to-Grid Generation
Deployable generation that serves load today while your grid interconnection queue matures. A de-risking strategy for the gap between capital commitment and grid energization.
The Bottleneck
The constraint on AI is no longer compute, talent, or capital. The constraint is electricity. And every month a facility sits dark waiting for power is a month the future gets delayed.

The grid can't connect you for five to seven years. OEM turbine production is sold out through 2028. GE Vernova expects its 80 GW backlog to be sold out through 2030 by end of 2026. Two-thirds of U.S. gas project developers have not yet identified who will manufacture their turbines. More than 250 GW of new gas capacity is in development in the U.S. alone, and more than a third is dedicated to data centers.

End-to-End Procurement. One Counterparty.

One team. One process. Sourcing through site delivery. Every stage managed under a single contract with a single accountable counterparty.

01

Scope and Configure

Define your MW requirement, deployment timeline, and site constraints. Oculus designs the generation configuration, selects the appropriate engine platform and sourcing pathway, and delivers a fixed proposal with pricing, milestones, and delivery schedule. Turnaround: 1 to 2 weeks.

02

Source and Secure

We source across the full availability spectrum: new OEM units where lead times allow, low-hour engines in operational condition ready for immediate deployment, and cores available for zero-hour refurbishment. Our network spans OEM-authorized depots, independent packagers, certified refurbishment facilities, and secondary market channels globally.

03

Refurbish, Certify, or Verify

Depending on the sourcing pathway: new units proceed directly to packaging. Operational engines undergo full inspection, testing, and certification to confirm performance standards. Cores requiring overhaul are routed to certified facilities for zero-hour refurbishment to OEM-equivalent spec. Monthly progress reports throughout.

04

Package and Commission

Engines integrated into complete turnkey packages with new generators, controls, and auxiliaries. Each unit undergoes factory acceptance testing. You attend FAT in person or via live video before the final milestone payment triggers.

05

Deliver to Site

Commissioned packages transported and delivered to your site, ready to generate. Title transfers on delivery. Insurance-backed warranty on every unit. One contract. One counterparty. Start to finish.

Same Process. Three Structures.

The procurement process is identical across all three models. The only difference is who holds title and who carries the operating obligation. Every structure includes the same escrow-protected milestones, the same insurance-backed warranty, and the same single-counterparty accountability.

01

Own the Asset

You tell us how many megawatts and when. We source the engines, manage refurbishment or verification, commission turnkey packages, and deliver them to your site. You take title. The equipment goes on your balance sheet. You own it forever.

Milestone payments are escrow-protected with proof of funds on request. You attend factory acceptance testing before final payment triggers title transfer. Insurance-backed warranty on every delivered unit.

Best for
Hyperscalers with strong balance sheets. Long-term campus operators. Permanent behind-the-meter installations.
02

Lease the Capacity

You don't buy the equipment. We do. Oculus owns the generation hardware, deploys it to your site, and you pay a monthly lease rate per MW. When your permanent infrastructure comes online, the units come off your site and we redeploy them.

You convert what would be a $50 to $200M capital expenditure into a predictable monthly operating expense. Your CFO signs a lease, not a procurement. Flexible terms, typically 12 to 36 months.

Best for
Capital-constrained neoclouds. Colo developers who don't want to own generation. Any operator whose permanent power is 2 to 5 years away.
03

Purchase the Power

You don't buy or lease equipment. You buy kilowatt-hours. Oculus owns the turbines, deploys them, operates them, fuels them, maintains them, and permits them. You get a $/MWh rate on a PPA. That's it.

Your procurement team understands a PPA. They do not understand a gas turbine refurbishment supply chain. This is the easiest yes for any buyer to give.

Best for
Operators who want to buy power, not equipment. International deployments. Sovereign AI projects where procurement must be a service contract.

Megawatts. On Your Timeline.

Aeroderivative gas turbines are the only generation technology that delivers utility-scale power on a timeline that matches the AI buildout.

Solar needs land and can't run at night. Grid interconnection takes half a decade. Nuclear is a ten-year bet. Aeroderivatives start in seconds to minutes, arrive on trailers, and can be generating power within hours of hitting your site. We configure from multiple proven engine platforms based on your MW requirement and deployment window.

Your site is built. Your tenants are signed. The only thing missing is megawatts.
